The Head Start program provides children from low-income families with a comprehensive early childhood education experience that promotes cognitive, social, and emotional development. It provides a nurturing environment that prepares children for kindergarten and beyond and a range of services that support the child and their families.

Enrolled children and their families incur no costs, as the Head Start program provides all necessary instruction, supplies, and resources.

Parents and guardians can meet the experienced teachers and staff, tour the facilities and receive enrollment assistance during the event.

Federal guidelines determine eligibility for the program based on age and family income. To enroll children at the event, the documentation listed at ca-akron.org/head-start/eligibility is required.
