Community Action Akron Summit, a leader in providing comprehensive early childhood education programs, invites community members to its annual Head Start Health and Enrollment Fairs.

On Friday, July 26, and Tuesday, July 30, families can learn more about the Head Start program, complete health screenings and enroll their children in classes that start this August.

Two separate events are scheduled for:
Friday, July 26

• Time: 9 a.m.-Noon; 1:30-4:30 p.m.
• Location: Head Start at Five Points One, 660 West Exchange St., Akron

Tuesday, July 30

• Time: 9 a.m.-Noon; 1:30-4:30 p.m.
• Location: Head Start at Barberton, 315 E. State St., Barberton

As part of the Head Start program, the Community Action team provides quality early childhood education, health, nutrition and parent involvement services to low-income children and their families. The upcoming Health and Enrollment Fairs are an excellent opportunity for families to learn more about the program and services, enroll their children and participate in free childhood health screenings.

What to Expect:

• Free Child Health Screenings: With free speech, hearing, vision, dental and physical screenings provided by local health providers, ensure your child is ready for school.
• Enrollment Assistance: The team will be on hand to help you complete the Head Start enrollment process.
• Family Support Services: Receive family and parent support and involvement program information.

Applications for Head Start classes are now being accepted. Take advantage of this chance to give your child a head start on their educational journey.
